The mission of Burke United Christian Ministries is to put compassion into action, demonstrating the love of Christ by providing, food, clothing, shelter, and crisis assistance to God’s children in need.
Serving Our Neighbors In Need Since 1975
Since 1975 Burke United Christian Ministries has been an intergral part of our community. Feeding every person walking into the Soup Kitchen a nutritious meal, listening to our neighbors' stories, sharing hospitality, counseling in times of crisis, assisting families in crisis with food, clothing and shelter.
We assist those in danger of experiencing homelessness through emergency funds for utilities and rent. Giving a hand up whenever possible is our purpose.
We accomplish our purpose with Christ at the forefront of all we do. Through Christian love, fellowship, and works, we bring our community together in realizing the Gospel daily.
